Concrete Journal, Vol.46, No.4, Apr. 2008

Synopsis
The Recommendations for Practice of Concrete with Fly Ash (draft), originally established in February 1999, was fully revised and published in October 2007 by AIJ. The guide is a compilation of the results of experiments and research conducted on wider aspects of fly ash since 2002 in response to many changes made in the environment of fly ash after February 1999. The reference book contains a newly established quality standard for fly ash to be used as binder and provides the instructions on how to use fly ash as binder and for other purposes. The full and major revisions include changes in the composition of the guideline and detailed descriptions of the regulations regarding measures to control alkali silica reactions. This report provides an overview of those revisions.
