Synopsis
During the global environment protection has become more and more interested, the finishing materials of concrete surface can be said to be the materials contributing to improving durability of structure, as they have the effect of suppressing concrete carbonation in structure. It is important to evaluate adequately and to share the data with the effect of suppressing concrete carbonation, regardless of in construction or in repair. In the committee of BCS-Building Contractors Society, the members have been carrying out to evaluate finishing materials with contribution to suppression of concrete carbonation objectively by arranging the existing research and the experiment results. In this report, the authors describe the results of evaluating various finishing materials with regard to contribution to suppression of concrete carbonation, by means of the rate of carbonation and the coefficient of permeability as an index.
