Synopsis
Japanese Architectural Standard Specification "JASS 5 N Reinforced Concrete Work for Nuclear Power Plant Facilities" published by the Architectural Institute of Japan has been revised for the first time in twelve years since the 2001 revision. The revisions made this time are broad ranging, reflecting technological advances, the spread of new materials and construction methods, significant revisions of JASS 5, the formulation and revision of relevant guidelines, and the revision of concrete-related JIS standards, among other things. This paper outlines the main points of these latest revisions.
