Study on Thermal Cracks of Concrete Structures Based upon Probability Theory

Synopsis
It is important to evaluate beforehand how width of cracks which generate on concrete structures for its durability. How influence the amount of scatter in constructin conditions and material properties to the variance of width of thermal cracks were discussed by using of FEM analysis based upon probability theory. As the results of simulations, width of the cracks will vary about ± 0.2 mm according to the variation of construction conditions and material properties. Besides, to control the width of the cracks by rebar, the quantitative relationship between amount of rebar and crack width were shown.
