Synopsis
Normal Ecocement (EC) made with urban refuse incinerator ash as raw materials is expected to apply to reinforced concrete because its chloride content is down to below 0.1% and its properties are similar to ordinary Portland cement (OPC). In this report, fresh and handened properties as well as durability of concrete made with EC are compared to those with OPC. Test results show that properties of concrete made with EC are similar to those of concrete made with OPC. Therefore it is possible to apply EC to reinforced concrete by following regulations such as Japanese Architecture standard Specification (JASS 5 Reinforced Concrete Work).
