The Effect of the Measurement of Unit Water Content on the Quality Control of Concrete in Construction of Medium High-Rise Building

Synopsis
The quality contrlo of each process such as choosing the material, placing concrete are carried out to guarantee the performance of RC building structural system at the construction site in Japan. The concrete plants are chosen acoording to the equipment and the plant engineer and the trial mixes of concrete are carried out at every site. The rapid measurement of the unit water content using microwave oven is introduced at the trial mixing and at the reception of concrete at the site. As a result of above activities, the understanding of both the concrete plant engineer and the construction engineer on the quality of concrete is progressed and the compresseive strengths of concrete are increaced and the coefficient of variation is decreased.
