Development of High Beaing Capacity Embedded Piling Method (H.B.M. Method) Utilising Prefabricated Concrete Piles

Synopsis
A high bearing capacity embedded piling method (H.B.M. Method) using prefabricated concrete piles was developed. Based on basic tests related to pile-tip bulb enlargement portions and pile shaft portions, vertical loading tests were carried out to establish the following coefficients from the results:
coefficient of bearing capacity at pile tip α=400,
coefficient of pile shaft friction in sand layer β=6.2,
coefficient of pile shaft friction in clay layer γ=6.2,
