Approach to the Integrated Study at Elementary School from Concrete Engineering

Synopsis
Integrated studies at elementary school has been conducted since 2002. In this paper, it is reported the class for the integrated study about concrete engineering. Before the class, detailed investigation about the integrated study had done, and based on the results, the class about concrete engineering for the children in the third grade was carried out at Fujimi elementary school in Utsunomiya. In the class, it was explained about concrete material simply. And then several color mortar using white cement and some pigments were mixed and distributed to the children. Each child made wall decorates using color mortar he/she likes. After the class, the questionnaire was carried out and many favorable answers were found in them.
