Summary of Design Guideline of R/C Beam-Column Joint using Mechanical Anchorages

- Recently, the mechanical anchorage technology is frequently applied to construction of high-rise buildings using high-strength and thick reinforcements to simplify detailing of reinforcements in beam-column joint. The committee organized by General Building Research Corporation published the design guideline of beam-column joint using mechanical anchorages to spread correct knowledge of this technology. In this design guideline, ultimate strength concept is proposed based on the experimental knowledge of R/C exterior beam-column joint and T-shaped and L-shaped beam-column joints at top story. This paper describes summary of this design guideline.
