Industry of Crushed Stone and Key for its Quality Control

Synopsis
Crushed stone is the one of the most important material for concrete but a concrete engineer is not close to its production site. An outline of industry of crushed stone and key for its quality control is described. The crushed stone industry in Japan is a gathering of small-sized companies without any major leader and the geology in their quarry is a mixed. There is no economical manner to improve the origin of crushed stone but it could be possible to provide a consistent quality by a planning of operation. A premeditated mining using geology map focuses on narrowing a fluctuation in quality of products is an useful manner to get customer satisfaction. The over quality requirement sometimes may lead unreasonableness in production. It is hopeful that the requirement is modified on the view point of that is not only customer but also saving resources.
