Synopsis
Until now, ultra-high-strength concrete was developed with aims such as the construction of structures of high quality and high durability, the creation of more flexible space, and the rationalization of construction, and in the architecture field, it has been applied mainly for lower floor columns in super-high-rise condominiums. In the course of working to develop materials that can achieve even greater strength, the authors have focused on slender RC columns as members allowing effective application, conducting technical studies on various aspects of materials, structures, and fire resistance. This paper outlines the development and introduces the application of slender RC columns that use concrete with design strength of 300 MPa.
