Synopsis
In March 2019, the Concrete Committee of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers published a revised version of “Guideline on Design and Application Methods of Galvanized Steel Reinforcement for Concrete Structures". This latest version updates the previous guideline published in 1980, while introducing the concept of performance design to allow durability design of concrete structures using galvanized steel reinforcement. This paper introduces the content of the main parts of the revised guideline.
