In addition to the constraints on the construction of a structure, the design documents specify matters that need to be considered during construction, and they convey the designer’s intentions to the builder. The JSCE Standard Specification for Concrete Structures -[Materials & Construction] describes the basic concepts necessary for the builder to accurately understand design documents and to realize the construction of structures that meets the required performance. It also includes matter on standard materials and construction methods, among other things, that can be used as reference when planning and executing construction work.
