- Synopsis
- This report outlines NDIS 3440 “Non-Destructive Testing of Concrete-Water Penetration Resistance Test” established in June 2023 by the Japanese Society for Non-Destructive Inspection. NDIS 3440 consists of four parts, including “Part 1: General Provisions,” and specifies three different testing methods. Although all three methods allow completely nondestructive testing in situ, they differ in purpose, tools, and procedures. The authors involved in the establishment of this standard present in this report the background and an outline of this standard, and the main points of consideration for the application of each testing method.
