The Current Status of Drone-Related Laws, Human Resources Development, and Technology

- This paper comprehensively summarizes the current status of the development of laws, human resources, and technology for social implementation of drones. With regard to the development of laws, the paper provides an overview of the Civil Aeronautics Act, including aircraft registration, acquisition of aircraft certification and skill certification for specified flights, flight categories and methods, notification of flight plans and preparation of flight logs, and reporting of accidents and other incidents. Next, it introduces the rules related to the periodic reporting system in the architectural sector, the guidelines for exterior wall inspection, and the development of human resources based on the above. Furthermore, it provides examples of the development of drone and digital technologies in the architectural sector, based on the “Connected Industries” concept. Finally, the paper highlights the importance of drone administrators and presents derivative technologies such as flying cars as new developments.
