- The Architectural Institute of Japan published the Guide Book for Fire-Resistive Performance of Structural Materials (4th Edition) in March 2026. The Guide Book provides information on the high-temperature properties of materials used in construction under fire conditions, incorporating the latest knowledge. This latest edition consists of chapters on con crete, steel, wood-based materials, aluminum alloys, and new materials. It incorporates the latest findings on the hightemperature properties and fire resistance of these materials and the information it presents has been organized in a cohesive and systematic manner. This paper presents an outline of this Guide Book.
