Technical Excursions
Dear Madams and Sirs,
On Thursday, October 30, two technical excursions will take place for participants and their spouses of the 8HSC-HPC Symposium 2008. Each tour will visit a construction site and some sightseeing spots in Tokyo.
Tour 1:
Visits a construction site of a high rise building with high-strength concrete in the morning. After lunch, visits Sensoji temple, the Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Tower. Starts from the lobby of Toshi Center Hotel at 8:45am, and comes back the same place until 6:15pm.
As many as 30 passengers can join the tour in order of application.
Tour 2:
Visits re-expansion project of Tokyo international airport in the morning. Has a chance to see prefabrication and erection of precast deck slabs made with UFC as well as precast pre-tensioned deck slabs. After lunch, visits Sensoji temple, the Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Tower. Starts from the lobby of Toshi Center Hotel at 8:00am, and comes back the same place until 6:30pm.
As many as 60 passengers can join the tour in order of application.
If you are interested in the excursions, please apply to the secretariat with an e-mail. The application mail must include tour type, Tour 1 or Tour 2, you picked. The tour fee is JPY12,000 for a participant and JPY6,000 for a spouse. Please pay the fee by credit cards at the venue.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Technical Exhibition
Recent advanced concrete technologies and R&D work will be presented
as technical exhibitions by material suppliers, design offices, engineering
consultants, and construction firms. About 30 booths will be set up for
exhibitors in a coffee break area.
All inquiries about technical exhibitions should be directed to the symposium
secretariat.
